Plain and honest. This describes what this site actually does, not a template's guesses. Last updated July 2026.
What this site collects
Almost nothing. This is a static site. There is no login, no account, no shopping cart, and no advertising or analytics tracking. Loading any page sets no cookies at all and makes no third-party requests, so there is no cookie banner. The only third-party content is a video you can choose to load, covered below.
The one place you can hand over personal data is the contact form. If you use it, you send me your name, email address, the subject you pick, and your message. You only share that if you choose to fill it in and submit it.
Who processes it
The contact form is handled by Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form service. When you submit, Formspree receives your entry and forwards it to my email. Formspree's own privacy terms govern how they handle that in transit. I use the submission only to reply to you.
If you subscribe to the Material Handling Weekly newsletter, that signup happens on beehiiv (materialhandlingweekly.beehiiv.com), a separate service with its own privacy terms. This site only links to it; the signup and your email live with beehiiv.
Embedded and hosted content
The Media page can show video playlists from YouTube, but nothing from YouTube loads until you click to play. Each player is a static placeholder until then, so simply visiting the page sends nothing to Google and sets no YouTube cookies. When you do click, the video loads through youtube-nocookie.com (YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode); at that point YouTube may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, under Google's privacy terms. Fonts are self-hosted on this domain, so loading the site never calls out to a font CDN.
How long I keep it
Contact messages stay in my email long enough to answer you and keep a record of the conversation. Ask me to delete yours and I will.
Your choices
You can email me to see, correct, or delete anything you have sent me. There is nothing to opt out of for tracking, because there is no tracking. To leave the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any issue.
